STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
Construction: RDM only use first quality 18 SWG galvanised steel to form a modular bolted panelwork system, 16 SWG, or higher are used in support panels. All panels have a 40mm/15mm double folded return edges for stiffness. All bolts are bright zinc plated. Standard panel sizes from 500mm x 500mm to 1000mm x 2000mm in increments of 500mm. All panels have identical hole centres for maximum interchangeability. Control Gear: One direct-on-line no volt release type push button starter, with thermal overload housed in an IP55 enclosure is supplied for each motor.

Extraction Filters: Either, 'Andrea' paper corrugated filters, usually two tiers, each tier is 900mm high and the full width of the booth. The filter is retained in sturdy galvanised steel frames offering simple filter replacement. Or, fibre glass 'soil and strip' filters, similar dimensions to the andrea type, with modified steel frames which include a course steel mesh with hooks onto which the filters can be placed.

expansion chamber type

Fans: All fans are of the belt driven axial flow type with polypropylene or nylon aerofoil section impellors. All bearings are sealed and the belt tunnel is sealed from the airstream. External motors sit on large adjustable plates. Most fan cases have integral access doors. A welded mesh finger guard protects the fan inlet and is retained by the fan fixing bolts.

Extraction Rates: Typically these are designed to provide a minimum average face velocity of 150 feet per minute and better than 3500 cubic feet per minute per linear metre of booth.

Motors: 3 phase - 415 volts - 50 Hz as standard, squirrel cage type. Available to IP54, IP55, or fully flameproof layouts.

Lighting: (When supplied) Special 18 SWG panels for roof, or sides with a strengthening frame spot welded into place carry a rough cast wired glass insert. Pump Set: A heavy duty self priming centrifugal pump is mounted on a stand alongside the water tank with 2½" nominal bore steel delivery pipes complete with a flexible inlet connection, giving a typical circulation rate of 850 litres per minute.

Water Scrubb System: A 2½" nominal bore steel manifold pipe runs across the full length of the wash tower. Three brass spray nozzles per metre length feed from the pipe. Each nozzle is 12.7mm diameter, hollow cone type. Nominal spray pressure of 20PSI. One ¾" nominal bore riser pipe per metre section with a brass gate valve spplies water to troughs at the top of the water curtain.

Water Recovery: The extracted water laden air strikes a minimum of six angled, oversized baffle plates which trap any airborne water particles. The air is then caused to turn sharply into the plenum chamber to centrifugally remove any remaining moisture.

Chemicals: Booths supplied as standard with a pack of spraybooth addative. Liquid or powder chemicals are available to suit specific applications.

Fans: All fans are of the belt driven axial flow type with polypropylene or nylon aerofoil section impellors. All bearings are sealed and the belt tunnel is sealed from the airstream. External motors sit on large adjustable plates. Most fan cases have integral access doors.

Water Curtain: In one metre sections across full length of wash tower. Each section has a galvanised steel trough at the top with brass levelling screws, a rolled galvanised steel scroll with angle and reach adjustment and a bright, 18 SWG stainless steel front curtain one metre high clipped into place for easy maintenance removal.

Water Tank: Of first quality 16 SWG galvanised steel sheets folded into one metre wide modular sections with returned edge flanges which bolt together and sealed using 'Ribbonseal' waterproof sealant. The assembled tank incorporates a seperate small weir tank housing a ball-cock filler as well as a removable perforated steel water filter for the pump inlet. Tank capacity 350 litres per metre length.
